SALES ANALYTIC MANAGER

JOB OBJECTIVES

The Sales Analytic Manager (SAM) supports ID Foods Customer Sales and Marketing Teams to optimize the development and growth of our brands through the analysis of customer and market data. The SAM will assess retailer sales data from customer portals, data from industry market performance (Nielsen) market competitor information, and retailer insights to determine the best methods of increasing both revenue and brand development. The SAM will share insights with sales teams, marketing departments, and executives to enhance business opportunities with retailers and across multiple channels such as grocery, mass, drug, club, and G&C.

This is a data-driven role that requires ongoing market analysis, a robust understanding of retailer sales data (pos), and industry trends. The SAM will work closely with sales and marketing teams providing advice and guidance to decision-makers and company leadership.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Harvest and analyze customer data from retailer portals as well as from syndicated sources to provide detailed insights on current retailer, market, brand, and category performance
  • Build, maintain, and distribute customer sales reports and other ad hoc reports in a timely manner
  • Provide post analysis on major themed events
    Identify by retailer, category, and brand, 4P gaps and opportunities to close those gaps
  • Provide direction on 4P NPD positioning by retailer and category to maximize ROI
  • Assist with customer and supplier business reviews and presentations
  • Support, participate and present sales and market facts to key strategic retailers
  • Utilize sales trends / customer pos performance to enhance sales forecasts / projections
  • Develop internal dashboards that will effectively communicate brand and sales results
  • Collaborate with all team members

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  • University or College graduate in Business, Marketing or similar work experience

EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES AND APTITUDES

  • 1-3 years in a Sales analyst or business related role
  • Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask and cope with changing priorities
  • Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Power Point & Access)
  • Strong relationship building skills for success with cross functional departments
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Well organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Superior oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work in a group or independently
  • Some national and international travel may be required
